Frances von Bunsen - April, 1847
On Thursday we had the great pleasure of a visit from Mendelssohn—who, having no evening to spare, came to luncheon, and afterwards played to us magnificently. He also accompanied Ernest in some songs, and never did his voice sound so perfect.
