Ned Rorem in Cathedral of Saint John the Divine - 28 October, 1973

from The Nantucket Diary of Ned Rorem 1973-1985, page 43:

Last night at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, Alec Wyton offered the birthday gift of a program of my vocal music - as moving as Charles Walker's revival in the afternoon, at his Church of the Heavenly Rest, of A Sermon On Miracles, the joint parturience of Paul Goodman and myself twenty-six years ago. Charles's wife, Janet Hayes, performed yesterday as capably as she had at the premiere in 1947.
