Ned Rorem in Alice Tully Hall - 9 March, 1985

from The Nantucket Diary of Ned Rorem 1973-1985, page 547:

Big concert of Lou Harrison's music at Tully Hall, attractive, varied, easy to take, strange for New York - the flavor of California. Waited in line to say hello. Lou shook my hand, "Ah Ned, how nice to see you" and that was that. I was hurt.
