Ned Rorem - 8 January, 1988

from Lies: A Diary 1986-1999, page 112:

Pleasant tea with Arthur Peters, who proudly brings a cassette of a radio interview on "Jean Cocteau and His World." The interview - rather stuffy - opens and closes with minute-long themes from Eleven Studies for Eleven Players, with nary a word that I am the composer, much less that I wrote the piece fo the book.
