Early dinner at 6.30 at F.B.'s & go up with them in car to Q.H. for 5th of Brit. Music Concerts. Landon Ronald doing officiation tho' F.B. conducts his own Phantasm which K. Long plays brilliantly (I turn for her)* Audience seems to like it v. much. Rest of programme dull & droning - don't hear all of it (Elgar 1st Symph. - 2 pieces of Howells, Wallace Villon etc.).
