Saturday 4. At home fishing & strolling through the woods about 2 O'clock. Went to town, saw the last part of the Mt. Carroll celebration, heard part of the toasts read etc. Evening at festival in Court house for the benefit of the soldiers. Took part in the dance & had a pleasant time.
