Edith Appleton in Étretat - 9 December, 1915

from Diary of Edith Appleton, 9 Dec. 1915, page 84:

Lena Ashwell's concert party came and gave us a good selection of songs. All the voices were good and there was a clever conjurer, but to me the cream of the whole thing was the 'cello - the girl was very musical and she seemed to forget all about us, and she played beautifully.
