Dr William Plumer Jacobs in Lookout Mountain - 20 May, 1871

from Diary of William Plumer Jacobs, page 138:

A few miles, part in the carriage, mostly on foot, brought us to the rock city. Here we stand with towers of rock rising on every side. Glorious! Together we sang the doxology, 'Praise God from whom all blessings flow.' My God is a rock. This on May 20th.
