Private Waterfield in Multan - 3 January, 1849

We commenced laying siege to the fort this morning...We were relived by a Regiment of sepoys... Our band came to meet us, and with our captured colours wantoning in the breeze, we marched to camp to the tune of the 'British Grenadiers'.
