The nineteenth daie of Maie, the maior an[d] his brethren all in scarlet, and such as were knights has collars of SS [sic] and remnant having good chains and the conseIl of the citie with them, assembled at saint Marie hill, and at one of the clocke descended to the new staire to their barge, which was garnished with manie goodlie banners and sstreamers [sic], and richlie covered. In which barge were shalmes, shagbuthes, and divers other instruments which continuallie made goodly harmonie.
