Edith Appleton in Le Tréport - 21 November, 1918
from Diary of Edith Appleton, 22 Nov. 1918, page 267:
It was a frosty afternoon with golden sunshine and the autumn tints showed up to perfection. We went for tea to a quaint little hotel which is kept by a charming old man and his wife. They are rather a picturesque couple and he played the gramophone to us while she prepared tea.
