I went to hear a lecture on Mendelssohn, it was a sort of concert as well. Miss Deacon presided at the piano and a Miss Dent played splendidly... we all enjoyed it very much indeed. It does make me feel small at playing when I hear such good musicians as there was at Gallowtree Gate Chapel.
