I am very glad that Deshevov has entered the Conservatoire. The first time he played for Winkler he played études by Rubinstein and Chopin, and Winkler was delighted. 'You have a complete mastery of this piece,' he said of the Rubinstein. 'You should perform it at a student concert, it would be very effective.'
