Sergei Prokofiev in St. Petersburg - late October, 1908
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 1 November 1908, page 67:
On Thursday I attended the memorial concert for Rimsky-Korsakov, an event that left me with the most favourable impression, especially the last act of 'Kitezh' which was given in a concert performance. 'The Maid of Pskov' was good, in fact everything was good except for an execrable performance of Rimsky's Piano Concerto by Drozdov (the brother of the more celebrated Anatoly Drozdov). Only now can I fully appreciate the refinement of Lemba's performance last year.
