Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - early January, 1909
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 10 January 1909, page 76:
I've been playing piano duets with Mlle Alpers. I got hold of Glazunov's Fifth Symphony yesterday in the Conservatoire, which she has mentioned a few times and which I love very much, and tried it out with her. She is, it turns out, a terrible sight-reader. Just as I expected!
