Chopin in Vienna - August, 1829
from Selected Correspondance of Fryderyck Chopin, pages 22-23:
I have seen three operas: [Boleldieu's] La Dame Blanche, Rossini's Cenerentola and Meyerbeer's II Crotiato. The chorus and orchestra are excellent. Today we have [Mehul's] Joseph in Egypt.
