Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - early May, 1910

from Sergei Prokofiev diaries: 6 May 1910, page 161:

As for the second day, which was truly the triumph of the Yesipova class, Borovsky* and Hofmann** were both awarded 5 with two stars (!), Berlin 5+, and most of the remainder 5. Borovsky's account of the Brahms Paganini Variations was that of a truly consummate, finished pianist.
