Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 5 November, 1910

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 6 November 1910:

Yesterday we [Prokofiev and classmate Antonina Rudavskaya) were together at the first student concert of the season. Shtember* played a Chopin Ballade (less well than I had expected). As well as Shtember, Borshch and Hansen were due to play (the latter the Mephisto Waltz!) but for some reason both cried off.
