In the middle of April Wahrlich's assistant, Belling, came bearing a request to get him both the score and parts of Dreams. I was not at home, so he left a note in which he stated that the first rehearsal would take place tomorrow, and the performance a week later. I was very proud. Myaskovsky came with me to the first rehearsal, and for the first time - during the performance in the Conservatoire I had not been able to hear anything - I heard my Dreams.
