Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 5 December, 1912
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 5 December 1912, page 251:
Our piano class favourite, Raya Livshitz, played Chopin's Third Ballade wonderfully, but the piece is third-rate rubbish. In general there was not much of interest in the programme, and Max and I would have been very bored if I had not had several accompanying jobs to do on stage.
