Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 9 December, 1912

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 10 December 1912, page 257:

Nikolayev's student Zelikman played Rubinstein's Second Piano Concert splendidly (the piece itself is not bad either). He will be my rival at next year's graduation. I feel the impulse to practise more growing ever stronger. Tsybin completely fell apart in Ruth.
