Ignatz Moscheles in Hastings County - August, 1833

from Recent Music and Musicians, page 199:

What a pity, that a bevy of lady-lodgers in the house spoil, by their strumming, all my musical enjoyment, not to mention my musical thoughts. They play on the piano and guitar, 'La ci darem', as a presto, and Reissiger's Waltz as a sentimental Andante.
