And how would you have liked a grand performance of Handel's oratorio, 'Solomon', in Exeter Hall, and immediately afterwards the dance-music of a ballroom, where we were obliged, in spite of the unpleasant contrast, to look in for an hour or so, or we should have been thought rude.
