Ignatz Moscheles in Westminster Abbey - 28 June, 1845
from Recent Music and Musicians, page 249:
We were rather roughly recalled from our poetical dream to the work-a-day world by W. K.'s Coronation Anthem - new and yet old-fashioned - composed expressly for this part of the ceremony; the materials were borrowed; it was as a composition grammatically correct, but utterly un-interesting.
