I had the pleasure, about this time, to be introduced to Monsieur Martini. He was a very old man. His sister, nearly his own age, kept his house for him. She was reckoned a deep blue, and very well versed in all the arts and sciences: The great poet Metastasio had lived sixty year in her brother's house, upon the most friendly terms, and died in it.
