As the procession of mourners began to move, the coffin was carried down the staircase by his sons, Ernest, Charles, and George, and his son-in-law, Baron von Ungern-Sternberg, assisted by Drs. Kamphausen and Week, who had been Bunsen's fellow-labourers in the ' Bibelwerk,' and by them it was borne along the streets of Bonn to the cemetery, some of the students taking their turn as bearers.
