After that we went for a walk, changed, and went to a concert of chamber music by Tchaikovsky. Pyotr Ilyich's Trio gave us great pleasure, enhanced by a thoroughly excellent performance. During the interval I made the acquaintance of the Lyutz family and formed the opinion that Mr and Mme were fine people, their elder daughter Klava was unworthy of attention, while the object of Max's attentions, Marusya, was a curious, slim girl, rather nervous, with red hair and an unusual face.
