When we arrived in Dublin, she was received and caressed in every society. The
concerts at the Rotunda, which I conducted, and in which I sang, were nightly
crowded. The orchestra was ably led by my friend Tom Cooke, whose versatility
and genius, in my opinion, cannot be too highly appreciated.
