Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 8 May, 1913, in the morning
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 8 May 1913, page 397:
Next morning, with some reluctance, I studied Brahms's Violin Concerto which I am to conduct at the Graduation Concert. At rehearsal I conducted Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto with Bai as soloist. It was very enjoyable, although I was not completely successful in managing the orchestra chords that fall in the gaps between the soloist's headlong octaves.
