Sergei Prokofiev in French (Kutuzov) Embankment, Saint Petersburg - 14 November, 1914, in the afternoon
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 14 November 1914, page 777:
At four o'clock I went over to Frantsuzskaya Embankment to my Princess*, who was looking incredibly pretty today but whose playing was so dreadful that it drove me to distraction. She is evidently in such awe of me that she is terrified.
