Sylvia Townsend Warner - 2 June, 1953
from The diaries of Sylvia Townsend Warner, page 197:

Things I noticed: the rough vivats: the antiquity of the recognition, & the moving quality of the Queen's curtsey: so much more gracious and grand than a King's bow: V. Williams' setting of the Old Hundredth, with the flourish at the close instead of imperposed (sic).
