Sergei Prokofiev - 23 September, 1914, in the afternoon
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 23 September 1914, page 741:
Duckling in the morning, then a lesson with Miss Isaacs, then off to the Studio. My first student, the redheaded Kozlova, played Beethoven's Second Sonata really rather well. She says she is practising four hours a day. It was pleasant to work with her, showing her a mass of things, correcting her rhythm, her touch, her phrasing. The other student had not learned anything; all she did was look at me with pleading eyes. I suggested that next time she should come to her lesson with something prepared.
