Sergei Prokofiev - 19 September, 1914, in the afternoon
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 19 September 1914, page 739:
At two o'clock I had a lesson with Miss Isaacs* and then went to the Studio. My new student, the second of the two, the one who studied with Kimont at the Conservatoire two years ago, is dark-haired and inclined to be podgy, and turned in quite a decent performance, albeit with a superficial technique. The other one**, by contrast, who was at the last lesson, has a more robust technique with some fire in it. As for interpretation, I went through with her in detail the Second Sonata of Beethoven, spending three-quarters of an hour on her lesson.
