Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 16 January, 1914, in the morning
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 16 January 1914, page 582:
Today, about three-quarters of the orchestra assembled for the first 'reconstituted' orchestra class. Tcherepnin read through Sheherezade and worked on individual sections of the piece. Out of boredom I was playing the percussion instruments along with two other young fellows, until Tcherepnin yelled, 'That's enough! I can't hear anyone but you!'
