in Royal Festival Hall - the 1950's
from Southbank Centre Archive:
I remember sitting in the new Festival Hall (I believe it was the second night after its inauguration) listening to Vaughan Williams overture "The Wasps" and Eileen Joyce, the pianist, playing the Greig Piano Concerto wearing her GREEN dress - she always wore green for Greig and RED for Tchaikovsky.
