Sergei Prokofiev in Saint Petersburg Conservatory - 9 April, 1914

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 9 April 1914, pages 642-643:

Was in the Conservatoire by ten o'clock although it was not our turn to play until half past two. Bezrodny was not in a good state at all, and we scarcely managed to play the piece through twice. His playing was rather limp, although he promised to pull himself together once we were on the platform.
