Sergei Prokofiev in Sestroretsk - late May, 1915

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: May 1915, page 47:

But at the general rehearsal it [Dreams] was not too bad. The Concerto went well, and we even decided to position the piano so that I would be sitting with my back to Malko. During the rehearsal I introduced a flute into the second subject of the finale (where this theme, after having been stated by the piano, is given to the bassoons); previously this passage was orchestrated differently.
