Sergei Prokofiev - 8 January, 1916, in the morning
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 8 January 1916, page 67:
At the general rehearsal for the IMRS (I forced myself to get up early and go and listen to it) I much enjoyed hearing Tchaikovsky's First Symphony, which I hardly know at all. What a delight the first movement is! Borovsky, a fine pianist and fine musician, played the Korsakov Concerto.
