Dined at Sosnitsky's, the vice-chairman of our Chess Society, now moth-balled because of the war. In his tiny apartment we ate delicious bliny and drank masses of wine in inebriated company with chess-players and people who work at New Times.Velikhov, despite being a member of the State Duma, sang indecent songs, and I thrashed Levin, one of Petrograd's strongest chess-players.
