Sergei Prokofiev - 21 March, 1916
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 21 March 1916, page 106:
I was visited by a pianist, Vilkreiskaya, who wanted to play through to me my 'Scherzo' and 'Prelude' as she is performing them in her concert a week from now. I am becoming an established composer, one of whom audience is sought in order to bow the knee. She plays not badly, but of course is no Borovsky. She and her sister stayed long enough to generate a headache (mine, naturally).
