Sergei Prokofiev in New York City - 17 January, 1920, in the afternoon
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 17 January 1920, page 464:
I went to Blue Bird, an opera by the undistinguished French composer Wolff. I did my best not to listen to the music in order not to spoil my impression of Anisfeld's scenery, which was fabulous, with gorgeously rich colours and not without a touch of the grotesque in the design.
