Sergei Prokofiev in New York City - 1 February, 1920, in the afternoon
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 1 February 1920, page 469:
A concert by Cortot in the afternoon, the King of French pianists as he is announced here. He played the Twelve Préludes of Debussy. Many of them are beautiful and elegant, but many are also watery, oh so watery!
