Sergei Prokofiev in New York City - 28 October, 1920

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 28 October 1920, page 544:

Haensel is not yet convinced of Koshetz's true stature, and is feeling his way cautiously. When Morin heard her he could hardly believe his ears, and indeed she does sing wonderfully. She did 'Memory of the Sun' with such simplicity and perfection of finish that beside her my dear Vera [Janacopulos] is a student.
