General rehearsal of Seven, They Are Seven, the only rehearsal involving both choir and orchestra. It began problematically, as the tenor had not realised it was due to start at ten o'clock and was extremely put out that nobody had informed him. In short, a huge to-do ensued. He wanted to cancel, and it fell to me to persuade him otherwise, a tremedous argument at an extremely inauspicious moment.
