Sergei Prokofiev in Paris - 31 October, 1924

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 31 October 1924, page 110:

Lyapunov had transcribed the Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila for two pianos, and in the morning we rehearsed it together to play as the opening number, Lyapunov on piano one and I on piano two. During the applause I made him step forward to take a bow as the author, and the old man beamed as though he himself had been the composer of Ruslan and Lyudmila.
