Sergei Prokofiev in Warsaw - 18 January, 1925, at night
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 18 January 1925, page 130:
Practised in the morning, and afterwards played bridge with Spiess. Dined in the evening with rich Jews, friends of the Director of the Conservatoire, who stuffed me with food to the gills. Some young people who were also there played me my March and Visions Fugitives, pretty decently. But enough, enough! I have had my fill of going out and being entertained, although it is gratifying that Warsaw has received me with such eagerness.
