Romanov, who has returned to Paris came to call. Smirnova* is still ill, nevertheless Romanov hopes to present the ballet at the end of June. He already has the promise of a four-month tour of Germany next year. I played him the ballet. He was thrilled with it, and we embraced, but still would like some sections of it changed. Well, fair enough, but it is a pity: I worked according to the requirements of the plan he himself created, and I found it not by any means easy to write the concluding section in conformity with it.
