Sergei Prokofiev in Palais Garnier - 6 June, 1925, at night
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 6 June 1925, page 171:
Concert. The first movement went almost ideally, the variations less so. The horns were particularly weak, even though there were five of them: one in reserve to allow the others to take a breather. Despite this, they did not stand out in the passages where they are needed. Also, the acoustic in the Opéra is hopeless.
