Sergei Prokofiev in Paris - 23 June, 1925, at night

from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 23 June 1925, page 186:

After this I went to a concert of Polish music: Szymanowski's Concerto performed by Kokhánski. Not bad, in fact well done, although verging on the boring and, despite all its complex sophistication, somehow provincial: Szymanowski just adores luxuriating in yesterday's effects.
