Sergei Prokofiev in Kansas City - 21 January, 1926, in the afternoon
from Sergey Prokofiev diaries: 21 January 1926, page 256:
Next on the agenda was an interview, after which we were taken by car round the town, which is actually rather pleasant, especially if you come in summer. After this excursion we asked not to be disturbed, and were left on our own. As a piano had been sent in we were able to practise. But the domestic atmosphere was far from easy, since Ptashka's voice was not in good shape. She was feeling tired after Denver, in fact seems to have been so since November.
